Bird Watchers’ Club

For an unparalleled wildlife experience with superb bird watching and spectacular scenery, Machrihanish offers what is arguably the very best of Kintyre. The establishment of the purpose-built sea watching hide provides shelter for sea watchers so that observation / studies can take place during the worst weather, yet best sea watching conditions. The Observatory has become the focus of bird watching activity in Kintyre and arrangements regarding its future management are secure.

A group of people who enjoy birdwatching to identify, understand and monitor the varied bird life on and around the Isle of Bute

Cowal Dog Training Club

Cowal Dog Traianing Club is registered with the Kennel Club to examine the Good Citizens Awards Scheme. The methods of training used are positive re-enforcement in accordance with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Code of Practice. They run weekly classes for dogs and welcome dogs (and handlers!) of all types, ages, needs and abilities.
