Bute Kidney Patients Support Group
Bute Kidney Patients Support group was established in 2002 with the primary purpose of campaigning to have a satellite dialysis unit sited on the island to save patients travelling to the mainland to receive dialysis three times per week. They are also providing locally available information and support for people with renal problems and their families.

Howat Activity Room
This large activity room is available to hire for meetings or functions with seating space for up to 35 people. Full audio and visual facilities are provided, including a wall mounted 50” TV with a high quality surround sound system. Kitchen and toilet facilities available. Helensburgh Community Hub
The hub provides opportunities for people to socialise, volunteer and participate in activities that promote the health and wellbeing of the local community. They will ensure provision of a range of inclusive activities that can be accessed by those who might otherwise be excluded due health, capacity or financial constraints. These activities are aimed at enhancing self-esteem and reducing social isolation, improving social cohesion and equality of opportunity for all citizens.

Part of the shop is being used as a community space where people can come together to do things they enjoy. It could be you like dominoes, playing cards, have an interest in music? What ever the interest the chances are there are people just like you feeling just the same thing. The team can provide the space and even a cup of tea / coffee and get you set up doing something you love.
