First Aid Event Cover

Helensburgh First Aid are a not-for-profit charitable organisation who provide enhanced first aid cover at events across Argyll and Bute and West Dunbartonshire.

Lorn Agricultural Show

The Lorn Agricultural Show is an annual event usually in August. Events at the show include livestock and horticultural judging, pets corner, live music, tossing the sheaf, crafts, children’s amusements and agricultural displays.

Arts and music festival

The organisation holds an annual arts and music festival to promote the culture and heritage of the Dalriada area.

Highland Dancing

The festival began in 1984, when its aims were to encourage young talent to participate in and develop the traditional arts of music and dance of the highlands and islands of Scotland. After a two year break it is back in 2022 with Junior Piping and Highland Dancing events.Since 1984 the Festival has developed to include new special events and competitions, and has offered over 1100 participants, 125 competition classes in eleven disciplines including piping, accordion, fiddle, clarsach, piano, recorder, woodwind & brass, singing, highland dancing and choreography.

Garden Links and Digital Plan (GLAD)

Dunollie GLAD includes adding to and upgrading Dunollie’s Historic Woodland Grounds, providing engaging activities for the local community, family days out and activities for a younger age group. Go to the Facebook page to find out about the latest activities and events on offer.

Community Gala

The Rhu & Shandon Gala is held every year on the 2nd Saturday of June. It is a great day out for all the family with loads of different activities to suit every age. The fun filled day includes the crowning of the Gala Queen, a dog show and displays by various local groups. There are crafts stalls, plant stalls, food stalls, drinks stalls and even a beer tent! Creative Workshops

Cove Park engage the local community with Cove Park’s national and international artist residency programme. They offer workshops, talks, screenings and events for children, young people, families, community groups and schools. These are delivered at Cove Park or as part of their outreach programme. Achnamara Pop Up Pub

Achnamara village hall hosts a ‘Pop Up Pub’. A convivial get together in the village hall for a drink with neighbours and visitors. There are usually a few games played including some table tennis, darts or backgammon. Please bring your own drink. Normally held on the last Friday of the month from 8-10pm.
