Oban Pride Peer Support – Friends of Dorothy Club

Chit Chat Support Hub
Emotional and practical support for people with long term health conditions. Activities include arts/crafts, exercise classes, mindfulness, self management, falls prevention, mobility aids, basic IT, referrals to specialist support and much more. Women’s Rural Institute
Meetings are very informal and friendly get togethers where we have either a demonstration of some crafts or a speaker on various kinds of local subjects of interest. This is always followed by a cup of tea, home baking and time for a natter. New members are welcome. We are also pleased to see visitors and warmly welcome them to our meetings. AWH Men’s Peer Support Group
Argyll Wellbeing Hub offers a peer support group for men over 18 to help them through life when they are struggling with mental health or feeling down, sad or lonely.
Home-Start Lorn – Support for Families with children under 5
Home-Start Lorn supports families with young children throughout the whole of the Oban and North Argyll area. Home-visiting volunteers offer a unique service providing practical and emotional support to parents/carers with one or more children under 5.

Females Tales Helensburgh is a community based peer support and suicide prevention group that provides somewhere for all females to come and talk in a safe and non-judgemental environment. See website for more information.
The Dove Centre – Men’s Group
The aim is for local men who are living with cancer, life limiting conditions or bereavement to access a supportive and open space that brings together people with similar experiences from the newly diagnosed to those in treatment, post-treatment or in remission. The Dove Centre is a place of friendship where there is the opportunity to chat over live music and refreshments.
