Community Contacts offers free impartial support, information and advice on Self-directed Support (SDS) to people of all ages across Argyll and Bute. Help people prepare for meetings and discussions with other professionals by sharing fact-based information alongside person-centred approaches. Have good conversations to help people consider their personal outcomes and to develop plans for their SDS. Provide information, advice and support to assist people to understand their rights and responsibilities when they choose to challenge SDS decisions. Offer intensive support to manage Option 1; for example to put systems into place, with sharing advice and information on safe and appropriate employment practice and to access appropriate additional support such as a payroll service.
