Community Council

EKCC's mission is broad and varied. Its remit includes the legal right to be consulted on planning applications and liquor licenses. It is also expected to act on issues it believes concern the interests of the community. In all of this it must be objective and non-partisan, involving and consulting as broad a cross-section of the community as possible. For this purpose, regular meetings are held and members of the public are actively encouraged to attend and add their voice to the discussions. It is here to listen to aspirations and hopes for East Kintyre, as well as any concerns.
