Service Details

Shopper-Aide Ltd was established in Campbeltown, Kintyre, in April 2011 in response to the issue of social isolation, to provide services and support for older people with volunteers. They provide shopping for over-60s and support older people in their own homes with daily living, promoting independence. They also provide support to carers of the older person where that support is not available from other agencies, run social activities for older people, provide housekeeping services, offer home visits and provide transport for appointments and social activities. Launder-Aide is a recent addition to the range of services offered. Shopper-Aide was awarded The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2021.
